The HGTE package adds an extra dose of keenness and controllability to the 599 at no expense to it's GT usability. Until the intoduction of the HGTE option everyone rated the regular 599 as the best GT/supercar you could buy. The HGTE package does nothing to change that. Whether on the road or track the 599 GTB Fiorano is a "10". The HGTE cranks it up to "11"!

The HANDLING GRAN TURISMO EVOLUZIONE PACKAGE (that's what HGTE stands for) includes re-tuned springs, larger rear anti-roll bar, new calibration settings for the magnetorheological shock absorbers, race-oriented electronic suspension settings, lowered ride-height, matte-black rear diffuser, re-tuned transmission and engine software, modified exhaust w/chrome tailpipe, 20 In. diamond-cut matte silver finish alloy, P245/45ZR20 front and P305/35ZR20 rear Pirelli PZero tires, Two-Tone leather (Black on Black in this case) seat trim w/black alcantara inserts (seat backs are trimmed entirely in carbon-fiber, embroidered in contrasting stitching on the headrest are a prancing Horse and the Handling GTE logo) and, the comprehensive carbon interior package 2.
